Opening and closing sites
Any window in Coda can either be used in an unconnected state, or connected to exactly one site.
To open a site:
- Click Sites in the toolbar
- Double-click the site you wish to connect to
Opening a site will trigger the following actions:
- Any tabs you currently have open will be closed. You'll be asked to save, if necessary.
- Any tabs you had set up during your last session with the site will be restored
- Any files you had open in tabs during your last session will be reopened
- You'll be connected to the web server (if the site specifies one)
- The local and remote paths in the file browser will be set to the site defaults
Closing a site will save your current state and disconnect you from the web server, if applicable.
To close the current site:
- Click the X button in the toolbar's site placard:

It's also possible to disconnect from the web server without closing the site.
To disconnect from the web server only:
- Click the eject button, located in the Remote header of the file browser:
